Who
is Motif Home Staging? |
 |
 |
Established in 2005, Motif Home Staging was developed
to assist the homeowners in procuring the most amount
of money for their homes, in the least amount of time,
with the least inconvenience to them. Motif Home Staging
offers services that include interior and/or exterior
décor remixing/enhancing as well as “staging
to live.” Taking into consideration the lifestyle
of the homeowners, by using color, imagery, and texture,
the professionals at Motif Home Staging enhance the
positive aspects and features of your home. The potential
buyers will feel “at home” as soon as they
walk through the door!
What is Staging?
Home Staging is about creating the best first impression
the first time the potential buyer views your home.
Staging is the art of remixing your décor in
order to enhance and highlight the positive features
of your home by focusing on color, imagery, and texture.
The role of the professionals at Motif Home Staging
is to bring an objective eye to the project, review
the situation, offer options and solutions.
Why should I have my home staged?
Accessorizing, de-accessorizing, room balance, lighting,
and furniture placement are all vital components of
staging—everything, from the overall look right
down to the details is designed to “romance the
buyer.” Creating a calm environment, especially
on the interior, causes the potential buyer(s) to relax,
thereby allowing them the atmosphere in which they can
“take their time” and visualize their personal
belongings placed in “their future home.”
Oftentimes homeowners actually have the “right
stuff”, perhaps just too much, too little, or
placed in a less-appealing location.
Is staging expensive?
As with every other purchased service or product, be
sure and know what your preferred budget is prior to
contacting a staging professional. Staging costs are
lower than interior design and redecorating; although
there are various levels of staging that may incorporate
interior design and redecorating aspects. Motif Home
Staging can tailor their services to your budget as
well as your comfort level.
What is the difference between redecorating and staging?
Educated and talented staging professionals will work
with your current décor, furniture, and landscaping.
If required, motifs, accent pieces, splashes of color,
may be added to draw the potential buyer’s eye
to the focal point(s) of the home. (Should your home
require cleaning and packing, a preferred vendor list
can be provided for you to make the contact and arrange
the additional services). Redecorating consists of replacing
the current décor with new décor that
reflects the personal taste and preferences of the homeowner.
Staging, on the other hand, is planned to attract the
largest portion of the population by making the potential
buyer feel “at home.” What is the difference
between interior design and staging?
Interior design encompasses a wide range of specialized
knowledge, including structural engineering and basic
architectural principles. It requires an eye for spatial
relations, color, texture, and fashion. Designers are
responsible for the internal operations of the spaces
they design, including electrical wiring, stress levels,
and installation procedures.
How long does it take to stage a home?
The size and floor plan of the home are two important
factors affecting the amount of time a professional
stager will require; however, the degree of staging
is also an important part of the equation. Staging can
be completed in as little as 4 hours or it may require,
in order to attain the desired affect, up to one week.
(The homeowner becomes part of the team with responsibilities
in assisting the professional stager, so often the time
allotment can be reduced).
